Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now

Last year, I was taught about the power of acquiring VISION in my life. The vision is more than the usual New Year's resolution. By definition, vision is the ability to see. It is being able to identify those dreams beyond the personal desires.

Determine those dreams that God has put into your heart.

HOW?

From my experience, God-given vision is not just about you!

The vision affects other people more than it affects you.
Examples involve mending broken relationships, better grades to make your parents proud, job promotion to gain influence in transforming your company, or start-up business dedicated for that chosen charity.

The vision challenges your beliefs.

The vision transforms your mindset. It makes you stubbornly hold on to that vision
even if other people tell you it's not worth it. It gives you HOPE no matter what.

The vision is supported by the WORD of God.

Pray, read the bible, and receive your vision.
You believe in that vision because you believe in God.
You believe in God's FAITHFULNESS so you become faithful to His vision for your life.

Most importantly, the vision glorifies God.

Nothing is stopping you with this vision because no matter what happens, God will be GLORIFIED through that vision.

Above all else, the vision is already promised. Hold on to that vision because IT will happen.
Believe. Act upon that vision. Witness it unravel in your eyes.

Happy New Year.

When there is no vision, people perish. (Proverbs 29:18)

The BEST Balik Alindog Program

The best balik alindog program is not just about your physical body. It involves the OVERALL YOU: Mind, Body, and Soul. Be the BEST VERSION of yourself! RIGHT NOW!
Start today. You don't even have to wait for the NEW YEAR! (haha)

Are you ready?

1. BELIEVE THAT CHANGE IS COMING

Change starts within you. Change your mindset and your body will follow.

2. SIMPLIFY YOUR GOALS

Group your goals into three: personal growth (e.g., healthy lifestyle, foreign language studies, spiritual maturity), career and academic development (e.g., promotion, graduate studies), and social relationships development (e.g., love life, family reunion, barkada outings, making the world a better place).

3. FILTER THE NOISE

Other people will tell you all the negativity. Shut them up with your positive attitude.

4. START SMALL

You don't have to go to the gym right away or pay for that foreign language class ASAP or read your bible from cover to cover in a day for that spiritual growth. Start small. Start with five minutes zumba every morning, then continue everyday until you are ready to hit the gym. Start with youtube tutorials until your budget is ready for that foreign language class. Start reading few bible verses every morning starting from the book of MARK for that spiritual growth.

5. REST QUICKLY, THEN MOVE ON

OR fail quickly then rise up! Yes, there are cheat days but do not linger on those days. Focus on your goals.

6. MOVE FORWARD

You already achieved your goals? Then make new ones. Go to the next level until you become the BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

HOW TO BEAT ENERGY GAP THIS 2017

Problems such as academic pressure, confusing relationships, strict parents, annoying classmates, paying bills, gloomy businesses and the list goes on could cause STRESS, SADNESS, and DEPRESSION resulting to ENERGY GAP!
BEAT THAT ENERGY GAP WITH THIS LIST!

Are you ready?

BE THANKFUL FOR THE SMALL THINGS

DO NOT FEED THAT DEPRESSION! Focus on the things that MATTER. We are often focused on our problems that we forgot to appreciate the small, simple things in our life. Your ex-lover might have left you broken, but you have other people who loves you dearly. Appreciate them. Appreciate your parents. Tell them how much you love them. Appreciate your other family members and tell them how much they mean to you. Appreciate your friends who are always there through ups and downs, the teachers and Boss who mentor you, the guards, the police and soldiers who keep you feel safe and our Father who is Faithful and Loving.

BE PATIENT FOR THAT BIG BLESSING

Have you received that BIG blessing that you have been longing? Then YEY and prepare for that bigger blessing next year! If not, then be PATIENT, but do not be STUCK. We often get DEPRESSED when things get OUT OF CONTROL. FOCUS on the things that YOU CAN CHANGE. MOVE FORWARD! BELIEVE that those DREAMS and GOALS are for you. Then ACT upon them. Continue to hone your skills and prepare yourself for that BIG THING. Continue to be the best version of yourself for that RIGHT PERSON. Most importantly, PRAY because God moves in mysterious ways.

BE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR LIFE

“You only got one life, do not miss the chance…” (Lose Yourself by Eminem). Your life is the BIGGEST blessing of all! Be grateful for it. You are here for a REASON, find out why. Find out your PURPOSE in LIFE. Most people get DEPRESSED because they do not know their purpose. If you don’t know your purpose, someone knows your purpose and that is your Creator. If you don’t have a plan for your life, He has a plan for you and HIS PLAN is for your betterment. He maybe preparing that RIGHT person for you right now.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

“THE KEY TO HAPPINESS IS BEING GRATEFUL.” (Bo Sanchez, 2016)

THAT'S IT! BEAT THAT ENERGY GAP by being GRATEFUL! Be grateful for the big blessings. Appreciate the small things. Most importantly, thank God for the sacred things!

Happy New Year!!

The art of letting go (of 2016)

It is easy to let go of tangible things. For some people, it is even easier to let go of people. One thing is for sure, most people have a hard time letting go of the old self. You have to let go of the old self because there are stages in your life that require a new you. Going to college requires a new you. A new job requires a new you. A job promotion requires a new you. Starting a married life requires a new you. A new year may call for a new you.

Don’t get me wrong. Letting go of the old self does not mean you acquire a new identity. Letting go of the old self rather results to a better version of yourself. Remember this line from the movie It takes a man and a woman -- “This is Laida Magtalas, version 2.0! Braver... Bolder... Fiercer!”? That could be you!

What are the signs that you need to get rid of the old self?

1. Things are getting too difficult to handle. “Hirap na hirap na ako.”

Ever felt like things are not in their proper places? That feeling of messing up bigtime? Your boss is always angry at you, your parents are frustrated whenever they see you, your friends are detached to you… the list goes on. These situations do not call for a time to be lonely. You don’t have to be depressed. These situations are signals that call your attention. These signals are screaming for a change of character. Say goodbye to the old self and say hello to the new you.

2. Things are getting too easy. “Walang challenge”.

Have you ever experienced being short of your allowance but it didn’t worry you because you can just ask your parents anytime, or your sister, or a friend can lend you some? Have you experienced being in a group project, and you haven’t done a single task but you still get 99% score anyway, same as your groupmates who really worked hard for that project? Remember that you have a calling in life, a purpose. If you are not doing your purpose (job, task, assignment, as simple as budgeting), other people will do it for you and it will benefit you for a little while but it will haunt you later and you will go back to example number 1.

Then how am I suppose to get rid of the old self?

1. Be honest

Don’t be too denial.
“Masungit lang siguro si Boss.”
“Part na siguro ito ng personality ko. Hindi na ako magbabago”.
What? So sinong mag-aadjust? Mag-adjust si Boss para sayo?

Kidding aside. When things get rough, convince yourself that something is not right! There’s only one way to change the situation and that is to change yourself. If you change, everything changes. You change, because you don’t have the power to change other people. You rather have the power to change yourself.

2. Be objective

Set aside your feelings. Do not be too emotional. Getting rid of the old self maybe painful because you feel like you are getting rid of a part of your personality or identity. However, that is not your identity. Being so messy is not part of your identity. Being a failure is not part of your identity. Everybody has failed one way or the other but successful people get rid of their failures and move on. Do not EVER doubt yourself. Do not doubt your capabilities. Do not hate yourself. Shout your feelings away and focus on your situation.

3. Focus

Focus on the things that you can change. Get rid of the What ifs. You can’t change the past but you can do something for a better future.

4. Be assertive

Put that one foot in front of the other and don’t let anything or anyone break your stride. Move. Act upon that situation. Act upon that New Year’s resolution. Even if you are not in the mood. Even if you are having a bad day. Move and act.

5. Acceptance

Say goodbye to the old self and say hello to the new you. Accept the better version of you. Accept that change is coming! Accept that change has come.

Celebrate. Welcome the coming of the New Year with arms wide open!
